• Leads and oversees all operating portfolio information systems and supports data collection for the development, construction and maintenance teams.

• Holds a graduate degree in engineering with a concentration in energy systems.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) with 16+ years of experience in the electrical utility industry.

• Responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction of substation, transmission and distribution facilities.

• Brock is a seasoned leader and dynamic construction professional that possesses over 23 years of field and construction management experience. Utilizing his sharp attention to detail, he consistently focuses on process development, integration, and efficiency while ensuring alignment of the Sunenergy1 Executive Development and EPC teams. 

• Leads all construction projects and maintains full oversight over construction fleet of more than 200 pieces of equipment and vehicles.

• Over 20 years of experience in the construction industry including more than 12 years in solar.

• Field Operations team leader managing construction sites as well as interdepartmental communication and logistics.

• Has been with the Company for 11 years and has extensive knowledge of all aspects of the construction of commercial and utility scale solar.

• Leads the Quality Control teams to ensure accurate installation of electrical and mechanical system components.

• Has more than 13 years of experience in the construction industry and has installed over 400 MW of solar.

• Responsible for solar PV designs, site layouts and maintains close contact with the construction department throughout project build out.

• Has more than 15 years of experience in AutoCAD and solar development; holds a degree in mechanical engineering.

• Responsible for management of all solar installations.

• Has more than 40 years of electrical contracting experience in commercial and industrial settings.

• Has held his Unlimited Electrical License in the state of North Carolina for more than three decades.

• Manages numerous construction crews and is responsible for electrical installations.

• Has installed over 500 MW of capacity since joining the Company in 2013.

• Holds an Unlimited Electrical License in North Carolina.

• Derek is responsible for all aspects of Project Environmental Reviews, Permitting, and Compliance for SunEnergy1’s development pipeline and construction projects.

• He brings over 18 years of unique experiences as a former employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
